Seven teams took to the water at Mountfort Park over Queens Birthday weekend as their build up towards their U12 Tournament in September. This is the first time our teams have played together and it gave the coaching team an opportunity to view the kids playing in a game environment. Huge thanks to the managers and coaches who ensured the teams were there on time and ready to play. As you can imagine there was a lot of excitement and loud chatter amongst all the teams but playing a large number of games a day ensured a few tired children at night time. 

Congratulations to Rachel Marsden, Shannon Hughes and the team of Seahorses who won Gold in the C Grade along with our team of Swordfish coached by Jordan Brown, Jake Lockwood and Clodagh Weir taking bronze. 

A number of our U12 teams will be playing some games against Waikato in the next few weeks while working towards September and the Tournament of Olympic Hopefuls. Well done to all the players.
