We have pleasure in confirming the appointment of Mr Zoltan Ridzyk as North Harbour Water Polo’s new development coach. Zoltan will shift to New Zealand early January 2017 and begin his position immediately. Zoltan is married with two children and is excited about the opportunities open to him and his family in coming to NZ. Zoltan started his professional career in 1997 when he played for Szolnok, Hungary in the Hungarian National League. He has also represented his country (Romania) at Junior and Senior Level including World League, World Championships and Olympic Qualifying events. Zoltan has been coaching water polo for over 10 years at various levels. He has worked and developed young talented athletes as well as working with international athletes at the higher level. We look forward to welcoming him on board and developing water polo within our club especially at the age group levels.

Zoltan has also been appointed the Head Coach for the North Harbour Senior Women in 2017 and is excited about taking on a team that is in the rebuilding stages. “The club have a philosophy that I believe in and I hope that I can make a difference to the lives of many players. I am looking forward to bringing with me a fresh approach with new ideas for all age groups”. Zoltan will be based in the office at AUT Millennium and will take up his role from 23^rd January 2017.
