Head coach Zoltan Ridzyk and the club are continuing the planning for the 2018 Europe trip,  with more information due out shortly.  We’ve been invited to an international tournament in Barcelona as well as a beach tournament in Costa Brava as a lead up to the Barcelona tournament and three days training against the Catalan teams prior to commencing play in the Turbo Cup in Barcelona. 

This is very exciting for our players born 2000 and after. The event is on the European calendar so the club is reviewing the Europe trip to see if we can attend these two events. What an opportunity for our players - imagine playing water polo in the sea!  Players who have registered their interest in this tour will be advised at the beginning of November and an information meeting will be held mid November. We are excited to be planning our Junior Elite and Talent Academy Programmes for 2018 – with overseas trips now part of the programme. Trials will be held in January and the squads will train with our top club coaches in 2018.

Our Senior squads have been chosen and many turned up for their first swim of the season on Friday 27^th October. It will be great to have some of our overseas players back in the fold and many of our younger players have had the call up to the seniors. We will be announcing our sponsors for these teams shortly.

It’s been nearly a year since Zoli joined our club as head coach. We have seen many changes in the programmes and it is great to see our school coaches receiving ongoing support throughout the season. Zoltan is bringing in many of his ideas gained from Europe and Australia into our programme.  He’s currently working on the club calendar for 2018  - with so much happening that is only good for growing the sport in our country. Zoltan and his family have settled into life on the North Shore and they’re trying to visit many new places in NZ. His oldest son Archie (2.3 years) helped him with the U16 National tournament recently where he became a cheerleader for the Maroon girls – took on the warm up and obviously was a good luck charm.
