TRANSITION FROM FLIPPA BALL TO WATER POLO

Are you currently playing Flippa Ball and you want to learn how to transition to Water Polo? We can help you achieve your goals – come along to our Holiday Clinic 17-21 December.
We have five days of water polo planned which includes heaps of fun to include eggbeater style, passing, catching, staying up in the water, learning to cope in deep water and much more…..
You need to be:
- Aged between 8 – 13 years of age
- Have confidence in deep water
- Be a competent swimmer who can swim 50 metres in deep water
- Happy to tread water without requiring assistance
If you can do all of the above we would love to have you come to our Transition Clinic in December. You will work with some of our top club coaches who are passionate about showing the fun you can have playing this sport. You will meet new people and learn new skills that will make you more confident in the deep water too. Players will be placed in group’s dependant on their ability.
December 17, 18, 19, 20:
- 9.30am
Meet poolside at AUT Millennium Pool. Our coaches are wearing grey tees. Introductions to coaching team and clinic registrations taken.
- 9.45am
Poolside and stretching and exercises prior to pool session.
- 10.00am
One and half hour pool session where you will be doing many different activities. Coaches are poolside throughout.
- 11.30am
Players will go and get changed and meet back in the Club Rooms for lunch. Please ensure you bring a large lunch and drinks with you as food is not provided. You will be able to rest and relax until 12.30pm. Children will be supervised.
- 12.30pm
Go poolside, registration taken and stretching and exercises prior to pool session.
- 1.00pm
One hour pool session where you will be doing many more activities that will assist your transition from flippa ball to water polo.
- 2.00pm
Players will go and get changed and be collected by parents poolside.
December 21:
- 9.30am
Meet poolside ready for registration, stretching and warm up.
- 10.00am
Games for all.
- 11.00am
Players will get changed and meet back in the Club Rooms for lunch. Please ensure you bring a large lunch and drinks with you as food is not provided. You will be able to rest and relax until 12.30pm. Children will be supervised.
- 12.30pm
Meet poolside ready for registration, stretching and warm up.
- 1.00pm
Games. Top teams win prizes and certificates given out.
- 2.00pm
Players will go and get changed and be collected by parents.
